		Notification No. 298/2014
		-------------------------

        In  the meeting of the Hon'ble Security Committee,  High
Court, Madras, it has been resolved to make certain arrangements
and  Identify the "Parking Areas" and "No Parking Areas"  inside
the High Court premises.  The same is notified hereunder:-

Parking Areas

     O       The  area near the South Gate Sesquicentennial Arch
       (adjacent to Judicial Notice Section) is earmarked exclusively
       for Officers and Staff Members of High Court and Subordinate
       Courts, for parking of both four wheelers and two wheelers.
          
     O        The   vacant  space  available  opposite  to   the
       A.E.(Electrical), Public Works Department,  Office,  near
       Sesquicentennial Arch, shall be used by advocates for two
       wheeler parking.
  
     O      The two wheeler parking area opposite to Transformer No.6
       (Judicial Officer's entrance) near Sesquicentennial Arch, shall
       be converted to four wheeler parking and the said parking is
       exclusively meant for Advocates.

     O      The area at the back side of the ADR Centre shall be
       properly demarcated for car parking and the said parking is
       exclusively for Advocates.

     O      The area adjacent to the Metro bus station (next to Legal
       Services Authority Building) is reserved for car parking. The
       entry for this area shall be from Esplanade Gate and only the
       vehicles of advocates and staff members can enter through the
       said gate and the said area is earmarked as temporary car
       parking for Advocates/Staff, until a decision is taken later for
       any construction.

No Parking Areas

     O      The area near the temporary Advocates' canteen located
       adjacent to Family Court Building shall be " No Parking" area.
     
     O      The road from Esplanade Gate to Checking Point near V
       Floor Building shall be " No Parking" area.

     O       The road from the Indian Bank to Manuneethi Chozhan
       statue shall be " No Parking" area.
            
     O      The 20 feet road between the New Advocates' Canteen, now
       under construction, and old Law Chambers shall be "No Parking"
       area, so that vehicles can move freely from Aavin Gate and then
       take a left turn, without any difficulty.

     O       The  30  feet  two-way Road in front  of  the  C.O.
       Section/Information Centre/Dispensary/Writ Sections (from
       Manuneethi Chozhan to the South Gate Sesquicentennial Arch)
       shall be "No Parking" area.

     O      The areas in front of the Indian Bank old building and
       the Advocates' toilet area opposite thereto shall be " No
       Parking" area.

       The  above  areas are marked "No Parking" areas  only  to
facilitate free ingress and egress of vehicles at all  times  of
the  day. Those vehicles parked in the "No Parking Areas"  shall
be moved to the "Parking Areas", already identified.
       
       Vehicles of outsiders, (except Government Vehicles) taxis
and  auto  rickshaws shall not be parked inside the  High  Court
campus.
       
       The   above  Parking  arrangements  shall  be  maintained
initially for a period of two months on experimental basis  and,
thereafter,  made  permanent. In case of any difficulty  in  the
system,   the   same  shall  be  reviewed  by   the   Committee,
periodically.
     
     
       
       As  directed  in  the  earlier meetings  of  the  Hon'ble

Security  Committee, High Court, Madras, it  had  been  notified

earlier that after 08.00 p.m. no vehicle shall be parked in  the

High Court campus. However, some vehicles are still found parked

after  08.00 p.m. and also during nights. It is hereby  notified

that  any  vehicle found parked beyond 08.00 p.m.  in  the  High

Court  campus will be removed by the Registry, to an appropriate

place, treating the same as an abandoned vehicle.

           It  is notified that Mega Lok Adalat is scheduled
to  be  conducted   by   the   High   Court   Legal Services
Committee  on  20.09.2014 (Saturday). The Learned  Advocates
are  requested to kindly extend their co-operation  for  the
successful conduct of the Mega Lok Adalat.

     In this connection, it is informed that if any Litigant
Public  /  Counsel on Record, Insurance Companies, Transport
Corporations  and  others willing to  settle  their  pending
cases, they are requested to submit the case particulars  to
the Deputy Registrar  (Lok Adalat), High Court, Madras  till  
17.09.2014 (Wednesday).

      It  is  further  requested that the parties  are  also
required to be present in person before the Mega Lok  Adalat
on the said date i.e., on 20.09.2014 at 10.30 a.m.
